Kirk Ellingham $Last Trip (Say Goodbye)

Kirk Ellingham, Brett in the Black Valley

A Projection of images from the last trip photographer Kirk Ellingham made with his beloved brother Brett.

Walking the west coast of Ireland through rain, wind and flashes of sun. Passing ancient graveyards, mountain passes and abandoned homes while his brother was suffering from a terminal brain tumour. A hard farewell and time to cherish the memories we’ve created and the people we leave behind.

A newspaper of the project will be sold at the event and exhibited at Blackwell’s bookshop with 10 limited edition prints.

All money raised will go towards The Brain Tumour Charity.

Donations can also be made online here.

  • London College of Communication and Newport photography school graduate Kirk Ellingham has published and exhibited widely in the UK and at festivals around the world.

Working in Poland, Georgia, and Brazil and here in Oxford his projects span journeys in eastern Europe, greasy spoon cafes, the east coast of England and Oxford boat races and Town and Gown city life.

Projects include Excelsior days shown at the old Fire station and Georgian stranger exhibited at Warsaw photo days, and a collaboration with writer Rowan J Curtis about mad Taxi rides across Armenia. Images printed in Gomma books, day4 and Foto8 magazine.

He has now settled in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and concentrates on editing his archives and finding new ways of showing his 25 year body of work from the UK and abroad as well as continuing to write, print and produce fresh and exciting projects.
